Why choose Patty?
Rural and Regional Locations and Lived Experiences

Patty spent almost three decades working on issues relating to rural and regional Australia. She has engaged with many people who have dealt with a range of land and water management issues in different contexts and is familiar with working to explore and understand their experience.
If you have lived, or are living, in regional or rural Australia, or have a close connection to the land, Patty has an interest in listening to you and working with you.

Adults and Older Adults
As an older adult, Patty has been able to navigate a meaningful life alongside many life and health challenges. Her lived experience provides her with insight and a wide and deep perspective across the adult lifespan.
Patty's earlier psychotherapy training was very much focused on adults in the 25 to 50 year age group. More recently she has developed a range of skills for working with older adults in the 50+ age group.
Health Capacity Challenges
Patty also has a particular interest in working with adults and older adults who experience health capacity challenges. This includes issues to do with limited mobility, the impact of accidents, and fatigue issues.
Trauma-Informed Care
As part of her work, Patty is able to support individuals in processing and healing from traumatic experiences. She has trained and worked in this area and has also undergone her own personal work in relation to lived trauma experience.
Loss and Grief
Patty brings her lived experience, work experience, and training to support people who are struggling with loss and grief relating to many life issues. She takes a person-centred, empathic approach to assist people through transitions in their life after loss.
Other issues
Patty is also happy to see adults and older adults for a range of other issues if they think they would like to work with her.
